Who it's for

A good starting point when technology feels harder than it should

Built for Los Angeles-area businesses with roughly 10 to 100 employees that want a clear picture before making any decisions.

The same IT problems keep coming back

Slow computers, dropped connections, or login trouble that gets patched but never really fixed.

You're not sure how protected you are

You have some security tools in place, but no clear picture of what's covered and what isn't.

Your setup hasn't kept up with the business

New hires, new locations, or new software have outgrown the way IT was first put together.

You're weighing a change in IT support

You want an outside view before deciding whether to stay with your current approach, switch, or add help.

What we'll ask

Five questions that show where to focus first

Each question is multiple choice. Together, they tell us how your technology is supported, what's getting in the way, and what matters most to you.

01

How IT support works today

An internal IT person, an outside provider, a mix of both, or no dedicated support. This shows who currently owns what.

02

Your top technology priority

Whether day-to-day reliability, security, or another goal matters most, so our recommendations start there.

03

How often issues interrupt work

Weekly disruptions point to different fixes than problems that come up a few times a year.

04

How confident you feel about cybersecurity

From very confident to unsure what's in place. There's no wrong answer; it tells us where to start.

05

When you'd like to make improvements

Within the next month or later in the year, so the next steps fit your timeline and budget planning.

Questions

Free IT assessment: Los Angeles FAQs

Is the assessment really free?

Yes. There's no charge for the assessment or for the recommendations that come out of it.

Is this a security audit or penetration test?

No. It's a preliminary business assessment based on your answers. It isn't a security audit, vulnerability scan, or compliance determination. If your situation calls for one of those, we'll explain what it involves. For a free self-guided starting point, CISA's Cyber Essentials and the FTC's Cybersecurity for Small Business guide are useful references.

Do you need access to our systems?

No. Nothing is installed and nothing is scanned. The assessment uses only the answers you choose to give.

How long does it take?

The form has five multiple-choice questions plus your contact details, so most people can finish it in a few minutes.

Will I be added to a mailing list?

Only if you choose to. The box for IT tips and updates is optional and unchecked. We do ask for permission to store your answers so we can review them.

What if we already have an IT provider?

You can still take it. The first question asks how IT support works today, whether that's an internal person, an outside provider, or a mix.
