Why it matters
Why antivirus alone isn't enough
Antivirus is a good start. It isn't the whole picture.
01
Alerts nobody sees
Security software raises warnings, but no one is assigned to watch them.
02
Attacks after hours
Attacks can happen at night or on weekends, when nobody is in the office.
03
Stolen logins
Attackers who sign in with a real password don't look like a virus.
04
Slow discovery
The longer a problem goes unnoticed, the more damage it can do.
1. Protect and monitor
We install and manage security software on your computers and monitor for threats around the clock.
2. Alert
When something suspicious is found, it is flagged so it can be acted on, not left in a log.
3. Respond and recover
We help contain the problem, recover from tested backups, and close the gap that let it in.

Clear expectations
What 24/7 means with SupportMax
Threat monitoring runs 24 hours a day, including nights and weekends, so suspicious activity is flagged when it happens rather than when someone checks in Monday morning. Hands-on incident response help, like containing an attack and restoring systems, is available Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pacific. No service can prevent every attack, which is why MDR works together with tested backups and incident response planning.

Questions
MDR services: Los Angeles FAQs
Have a question that isn't here? Call 310.331.8119 or schedule a free consultation.
What is MDR?
Managed detection and response combines security software on your computers with monitoring for threats and help responding when something is found. For how it differs from a SIEM, see SIEM services.
Is monitoring really 24/7?
Yes. Threat monitoring continues nights and weekends. Hands-on incident response help is available Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pacific.
Do we still need antivirus?
MDR includes managed endpoint protection on your computers, so it replaces stand-alone antivirus you manage yourself.
Can MDR stop every attack?
No service can. MDR helps catch problems sooner, and backups and incident response help you recover.
Is MDR right for a small business?
It can be, especially if you hold client data or can't afford downtime. We build it for teams of 1 to 100 people.
How is MDR priced?
It depends on the number of users and computers protected and what you already have. You get a written scope and quote after a security review.
